«Lucky Bears» - the latest limited-edition collection of ceramic sculptures by the extraordinary Olia Breva, originating from her enchanting painting series "Bear’s Story." This collection stands as an independent masterpiece, continuing to evolve the artist's profound philosophy: creating art of empathy.

The color palette of «Lucky Bears» tantalizes your imagination. The delicate hues of Soft Pink and Soft Blue evoke the fragrant whispers of spring flowers, the gentle caress of a sea breeze, and the delightful taste of fruity ice cream. They conjure the joyful dawn of a new day, and the pink clouds illuminated by the rising sun against a morning blue sky. The red in the collection symbolizes passion and speed; the «black & white» series features elegant bears exuding understated luxury, in shades of black caviar and pristine white, showcasing their purity and nobility. In the Kintsugi style Bears, gold gleams against black like lightning, reminiscent of the opulence of Secession and Art Deco - classic colors of wealth, and power.

«For several decades, I have been creating works of art, and I am thrilled to have been able to bring my ideas to life and convey the positive influence of color on the environment and the individual through such a complex and vibrant medium as ceramics,» says Olia Breva.
The «Lucky Bears» collection by Olia Breva consists of a detailed sketch development process, which is later transformed into a 3D format for creating a plaster model. Based on this model, molds are made for casting the clay pieces.

Modern digital technologies are used here in conjunction with eco-oriented production from premium materials.

The «Lucky Bears» are currently available in two sizes - 30 cm (11.8 inches) and 16 cm (4.7 inches).
30 cm (11.8 inches)
16 cm (6.3 inches)
The «Lucky Bears» sculptures are made from eco-friendly premium pristine Spanish white clay. After firing, they are adorned with multiple layers of exquisite American glaze and undergo a final low-temperature firing, ensuring an exceptionally durable, glossy finish that is a pleasure to touch. Further hand-finishing and painting, including the application of real gold, bestow each Bear with charm and individuality, making it truly one-of-a-kind.
A special type of white Spanish slip (liquid clay) is used in the process of castling pieces, as the chemical composition is crucial for the subsequent glazing process.

This is why the silica content is very important in choosing a clay, finally, it provides hardness during firing, adhesion of the coating, and resistance to chipping. Spanish clay was chosen deliberately after careful research and consultations with masters and artisans specialized in ceramic production field.

The white hue of the clay, after firing, attains a light earthenware shade indistinguishable from porcelain color, which allows for the application of desired glaze tones without obscuring the original clay color beneath. Once the cast sculpture has dried, it is placed in a kiln for low-temperature firing, after which it is meticulously sanded and cleaned to smooth out any irregularities from the casting process.
Merging high-tech aesthetics with meticulous handcraft, «Lucky Bears» are symbols of confidence and serenity, infusing any space with kindness, joy, and luck. They embody love and rebellion, ruggedness and elegance, a fusion of futurism and emotion, a connection with tradition and avant-garde - all depending on the color, painting, and perspective, with each Bear revealing countless facets.

After all, “Lucky Bears” by Olia Breva are a faceted dream come to life!
«Reflecting on this collection, I contemplated the contemporary world within the context of history, its fluidity and dynamics, its journey thus far, and dreams of the future,» says Olia Breva.
